Green Valley Fire District Opens New Station in August
GVFD will open its new Station #155 on Campbell Avenue near Quail Creek in mid-August.
The station is scheduled to be completed by end of July, and staffed by second week of August. Twelve veteran fire fighters will staff the new station. The station will also house two Southwest Ambulance personnel and an ambulance. The GVFD Academy will graduate 14 new cadets on August 6. The new graduates will replace veterans from other stations, and fill two vacancies. Station #155 is the second new station for Green Valley Fire District this year; Station #151 on La Cañada Drive opened in April. That station houses 18 fire fighters and 3 Battalion Chiefs. GVFD has five stations that serve Sahuarita and Green Valley.
