A Message from Mayor Lynne Skelton, Monday, January 10, 2011

These are difficult times for many of us.  Not only is it important, out of respect for those injured or killed on Saturday, to reflect upon and honor those fallen friends, innocent individuals and their families, it is also a time to grieve, pray and heal.  Gabe Zimmerman, a kind, gentle soul, was a friend to many of  us.  Christina Green, a child whose life was too short.  Judge John Roll, a fine man who made a difference in the lives of many.  Three more innocent people have lost their lives to a senseless act of violence.

I ask that we honor these people today and pray for the continuing recovery of Congresswoman Giffords as well as those wounded and impacted by this incident.
