Dispose-a-Med at Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse
The Sahuarita Police Department, in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Rural Metro, are sponsoring "Dispose-a-Med" on September 4, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
This event will take place at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse lawn located at 14455 S. Camino Lago Azul. Dispose-a-Med is part of the Back to School Safety Fair; the entire event is free and open to the public.
Sahuarita Police will be collecting unused prescription medication for proper disposal. With proper disposal this will prevent prescription medication from being flushed and introduced into the water system. This also prevents children and other unauthorized people from obtaining dangerous medication.
Rural Metro will also be doing blood pressure checks during the Back to School Safety Fair.
