Building Safety Division Emphasizes Customer Service

The Building Safety Division is continually seeking to improve our service to residents. Below are some examples of what we are doing.

When a project is submitted:
Some projects can be brought in and reviewed over-the-counter. This means you sit down with the plans examiner while they review the project. If your plans meet code, we can issue a permit right then. It is always best to call ahead to schedule an appointment.

For the projects that are not reviewed over-the-counter, if you are the applicant we will send the plan review comments directly to you. If you have a licensed contractor and they submit the plans, the property or business owner’s contact information, either an email address or a phone number, must be included in the application. This way you are aware of the plan review status so you can get your project completed quickly.

When a project is permitted:
We are pleased to announce that the Town now has the ability to process credit cards. We also accept checks and cash.

When a project is inspected:
When it comes time for inspections, most of us have busy schedules. Let us know and we can coordinate a time that works for you.

When a project is completed:
Comment cards are used to identify areas in need of improvement and to recognize employees for excellent service. You can fill out a comment card at: http://ci.sahuarita.az.us/index.php?option=com_smartformer&formid=5

For more information on building permits, please contact the Town of Sahuarita Building Safety Division.

Use  Online Comment Card for Development Services
Residents, property owners, architects, engineers, contractors and anyone who interacts with Development Services  can provide feedback for Town of Sahuarita Development Services using a new online Comment Card.
