The Parks and Recreation Commission is an advisory group to Town Council, the Town Manager and the Parks and Recreation Department in all matters relating to recreation activities and parks.
The Commission assists in planning, promoting and recommending interest in recreation programs and park development for the Citizens of Sahuarita.
The Town of Sahuarita’s Parks and Recreation Commission is comprised of seven members of the community who are each appointed by individual council members and whose terms correspond with the council member who appointed the commission member. The Commission meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Sahuarita Town Hall Council Chambers. Sometimes schedules conflict and the day of the meeting may be changed so call the Parks and Recreation Department at 520-822-8896 to confirm whether a meeting will be held as scheduled. Meetings are open to the public and public input and information is always welcomed. There is one vacancy on the Commission at this time; the current members of the Commission are:
